To support these goals, this month’s update is designed to identify and correct errors early in the invoice submission process, reducing the incidence of inaccuracies that prevent posting.

Invoice Quantities to Match Product Receipt Quantities in Workflow

This month, D365 Finance users will be able to update the invoice quantity field to correct errors that might otherwise prevent posting. Here’s what that means for your workflow:

  • Identify Discrepancies – When closing the Match Product Receipt to Invoice page, the invoice quantity must match the value in the Product Receipt Quantity to Match field. If it doesn’t, the system will display an alert to highlight the discrepancy.
  • Change Invoice Quantities – Upon receiving the alert, users can update the Invoice Quantity field before posting, directly within the workflow. If product receipts are all unmatched, the system will delete the invoice line.
