In 2005, Paul Grove and Ed Mueller, two professionals with experience in “Big Consulting,” wanted to build a company focused on driving value for their clients by leveraging the expertise of world-class consultants. To reflect this goal, they named the firm AXIA, the Greek word for “value.”

They recruited the best consultants they had encountered (dubbed “The Original 8”) to help build AXIA into a client-focused firm that extends beyond simply executing an statement of work. This founding team formed the cornerstone of AXIA and worked to establish guiding principles and practices that still shape the company's approach today.

The Original 8 were committed to delivering exceptional work, cultivating meaningful client relationships, and fostering a culture of excellence within AXIA. Their collective expertise and unwavering dedication set the standard for the company's personalized customer approach and commitment to excellence.
